David Blaine has been referred to as a modern-day Houdini, performing outstanding feats of escape and endurance in public places. David Blaine has been buried alive on national television. A famous stunt called "Frozen in Time" had him encased in a huge block of ice in New York's Times Square, a stunt which he said was the most difficult he'd ever attempted or would again. His "Vertigo" stunt placed him on a one-hundred foot high platform above New York's Bryant Park. In addition to these large scale feats, David Blaine is also a master of close-up magic. He has performed for two American presidents and a variety of world leaders.
