Effect 1: The magician places a business card on the table with a prediction drawn on the back. The spectator chooses a card from the deck (4 of Diamonds) and when the performer turns over the prediction, it is shown to be the wrong card (5 of hearts).
The performer then holds the written prediction over a flame (candle or lighter) and the prediction visibly changes to the correct card.
Effect 2: The magician places a business card on the table with a prediction written on the back. The spectator chooses a card from the deck (10 of Hearts) and when the performer turns over the prediction, it is shown to be wrong. It reads, ?The name of the card is the 7 of spades?. When the performers says that he can fix it, he holds the card over a flame and the letters vanish leaving the only letters that spell ?Ten of hearts? bringing the effect to a successful close.
