I generally never buy anything before I see some reviews on it first, but this time I broke my own rule and went for it only because I own one of Mr. Lourido's Glass Mirages, which happens to be one of my favorite effects. Well, I must say I was pleasantly pleased with my purchase and I am really enjoying this effect and the special props that come along with it. The effects on the dvd are killer and the coins are absolutely gorgeous and well designed. I think what amazes me most is that those I have performed this for are absolutely convinced that I have melted their coin! The reason for this, as Alex says in his video, is due to the brilliant sequence of moves that arrive at the final conclusion. Step by step they see their coin melt and stretch, followed by the kicker of pressing your finger print into the soft, hot metal. Then at the very end as you say, "I promised you that I would give you your twenty-five cents back," the coin breaks apart and visually changes into two dimes and a nickel, which you give them to keep as you say, "...and I'm a man of my word, here's you 25 cents back." It's a great routine and this effect is really stunning when combined with the fork metal bending routines he does in the video.
